THANK YOU
Congratulations on starting Sofia's Special 5 day reset!

OVER THE NEXT 5 DAYS...
You'll enter a true fasted state using Sofia's Special and activate your body's natural healing systems. 🌿
A quick reminder: refeeding is just as important as the fast itself - some would say even more important. The way you nourish your body afterward will shape your results.Â
When I break a fast, I like to start replenishing my glucose stores with one of my favorite carbs: fresh fruit 🍌, then boiled potatoes with a sprinkle of salt & pepper, paired with fresh veggies - rainbow carrots, a crisp salad, or a mix of roasted vegetables.
Here are 3 tips that have helped me on my fasting rounds:

âś… Get prepared
🛒 I like to shop for groceries the day before I start so everything is as fresh as possible. The only exceptions are avocados and bananas - I buy those earlier so they have time to ripen for Day 1.
🗓️ I also clear my calendar of lunch, dinner, or happy hour plans. As fun as those can be, I don't need the extra pressure during a fasting week!Â
👩🏻‍🍳 Since we have a young daughter, I still cook for her even while fasting. To make it easier, I stick to simple meals I’ve made so often I could cook them in my sleep. If you’re caring for someone else, be sure to add their meals to your grocery list too.
Â

âś… Start eating middayÂ
đź’§ In the mornings, I hold off hunger with water first, then black coffee or tea. A hot, soothing beverage does the trick and helps me delay my first meal.
⏰ I usually “break” my daily fast-within-a-fast around midday—anywhere between 12–2 p.m. From there, I eat every 2–3 hours so I have a steady stream of calories and energy throughout the day.
🔥 This is the most powerful way I manage hunger. Once your body uses up its glucose stores and shifts to burning visceral fat → liver glycogen → ketones for energy, your hunger naturally decreases.

âś… Stay busy - yet spacious
👟 During a fast, idle time can make cravings louder. I like to stay occupied through work, gentle walks outdoors, tidying the house 🫠, or journaling about my experience. Each round teaches me something new, and those notes often help in future fasts.
🌿 At the same time, fasting is also about creating space for healing. That might mean longer walks, extra sleep, going to bed earlier than usual, or simply giving yourself the gift of unscheduled time. Balance activity with rest—both are powerful parts of the process.
